Marco Albarran is an Arizona based conceptual and multimedia artist, curator, exhibit designer, and image enabler. Marco creates contemporary conceptual-multimedia art that is inspired and based on creative interpretations of thematic-symbolic representations of pre & post-Colombian cultures, life and histories.
“Most recently, I have been particularly interested on the universal theoretical links between symbolic cultural imagery and spiritual diasporas. My composition styles can be seen on mixed media, canvas work, printmaking, photography, digital work, sculptures, and other mediums.“
Marco's use of interpretative symbolic cultural imagery and inter-cultural manipulation are ripe for further discussions on thematic use of traditional-symbolic imageries, uncharted contemporary interpretations, and use of over-extended narratives. Marco is open for new exhibit invitations, commissions, and special public projects.
